Yesterday was my birthday. I
was a little worried about getting through my first birthday without my beloved
Arthur. One thing I did to help myself cope was put together some of my
favorite photos of Arthur and I together, with a video of a song Arthur wrote
for me. "Katie" was written after our first trip to Yosemite
valley, a few months after we met in 1980.
This isn’t the only song Arthur
wrote about me. Arthur played “Katie and the Mountains/Visions of Paradise” at
our first wedding in 1983.
